Leading soft drinks makers have signed up to a
sustainability strategy to improve the industry's
environmental performance.
The objectives of the strategy, unveiled by the British
Soft Drinks Association, focus on the four areas of
climate change, waste and packaging, water and
transport.
?This strategy highlights the importance the soft drinks
industry places on its environmental responsibilities
and shows our commitment to building on, and further
improving our environmental performance,? said Paul
Moody, BSDA president and CEO of Britvic.
?By working collectively as an industry, and with the
support of national and local government, we believe we
can make a significant and positive impact on the
environment.?
