Lewis Pies was established
in 1936 as a small bakery employing four people and is
now a large manufacturing company with 100 full time
staff. The original bakery was set up in Beech Street
Swansea by the late Wilfred Charles Lewis, the father of
current Managing Directors Wilfred and John Lewis. The
brothers formed the partnership during the late 1970s to
enable them to take over the business from their father,
and it remains a family run business.
Lewis? Pies is focused on becoming the UK?s first choice
supplier of pies and savoury products. To assist the
Directors in this aim, the company offers high standards
of customer service, constant monitoring of the market
and assessing and planning for the future.
Historically the company has always listened to its
customers in order for it to understand their needs and
supply them with top quality products. This philosophy
continues to be a corner stone of the company?s customer
care policy.

The ?bake off? market is a rapidly expanding business.
In recent years Lewis? have adapted their range of
products to be suitable for in store baking.
?Freezebake? products maintain their quality whilst
still keeping a delicious melt in the mouth texture.
Regal Range
Working with our customers we identified the need for a
premier quality product to meet the needs of a more
discerning customer.
The product range was launched in 2006 and is already
proving to be a success in a competitive market.
Customer feedback suggests this product competes on both
quality and price.

Lewis' Pies share of the export market is growing.
We are already exporting to Europe and hope to increase
our share of the market by attending the Food
Exhibition, Alimentaria 2008 in March which is being
held in Barcelona.
Furthermore, we have shipped our first order to a new
customer in Dubai who is supplying the expat market.
